Wow! I'm definitely gonna have to do better!

It's been over a year since I last posted, and that's inexcusable.

My biggest excuse, even though it's not allowed, is that I've been busy writing, teaching, and getting through the pandemic. Which still isn't over. But I have hopes that it will be soon.

I'm looking forward to my garden again this year! I'm looking forward to writing more books and getting lost in adventures!

I'm looking forward to learning more in the ebook publishing arena, because that area seems more robust than ever, and I have ideas!

One of the things I struggle with most is that stupid rollercoaster of depression. I turned 63 this December, and I think maybe that's been rattling my cage all year. I'm not ready to step back and do less, and I'm not ready to be benched. I think a lot of that was brought on by the constant worry of the COVID, which is hitting everyone hard these days.

So I'm going to work to be more positive and, when circumstances are right, to get back more into the world. I'm an introvert by nature, so getting out is always hard. Teaching saps my store of energy a lot on a regular basis, so the idea of getting out among people and dealing with all the "feels" that come from the emotions/body language just overloads my sensory array to the point I come home exhausted.

However, my wife points out to me that I always come home stoked from writers' conferences, so I'm going to try to do a few more of those. It's always good to see friends and swap stories.

I'm hoping your own year picks up steam as well.

As an aside, my son and I finished up the second season of THE MANDELORIAN last night. Gotta admit, the ice spiders episode was the bomb! I'm astonished at how much can be done with COMPLETE digital environments!
